Why I started Eros & Anthos

If someone told me years ago that I’d one day open a bookstore, I would have laughed. Reading was never really part of my life before. I used to think I enjoyed a completely different lifestyle, nights out, and the constant noise. It felt fun at the time, but deep down, something was always missing.Then I started reading. Once I picked up that first book that truly spoke to me, something inside me changed. Books changed the way I see the world and the way I see myself. They made me feel alive in a different way, as if every story was a door to another reality, one that I could step into anytime I needed to breathe or dream.

Eros & Anthos was born out of that feeling. I always had the urge to create something that was mine, something that made me feel fulfilled, and what better way than through the one thing that makes me feel like I’m not in the normal world anymore. Every book has the power to take you somewhere else, to make you feel like you belong to a story that’s completely yours.

So here I am, taking small steps every day with this online bookstore. It’s something I’m truly proud of. I wouldn’t be here without the people who helped me along the way, and I’m endlessly grateful for them. Eros & Anthos is filled with books that I love, stories I wish I could read again for the first time. Maybe you’ll find something here that makes you feel the same way, something that sparks that quiet magic only a book can give.
